With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles F Hemmer (Peoria, Illinois), who passed away on September 8, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Max E. Hemmer and Martha Hemmer (Martin); and his wife Marian R. Woerner. He is survived by: his children, Jane Suttor (Steve) of Peoria, Jean Huber (Jim) of Peoria, Joanne Steffen (late Kent) of Peoria, Charles "Chip" Hemmer (Kim) of Peoria and Judy Sauder (Stanley) of Westerville, Ohio.; and his sister Miriam Klopfenstein (late Lynn) of Anderson. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Peoria Apostolic Christian Church (3420 N Sheridan Rd, Peoria, IL 61604).
