He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Sr. Turner and Annie Turner (Toy); his son Don Anderson; and his grandson LaDon Turner. He is survived by: his children, Michael Massey (Christine) of Memphis, Steve Turner, Sr. (Angela) of Peoria, Vernon Turner of Peoria, Kevin Turner (Raquel) of Chicago, Marvin Anderson (Penny) of Chicago, Carol Turner of Chicago, Christopher Turner of Baltimore, Regina Donelson (Ishmail) of Memphis, LaShon Rutherford (Sheane) of Mesa, AZ, Zenobia Neal (Dannie) of Peoria, Finis Woolfolk of Peoria, DeAngelo Parker of Peoria, Satonius Parker of Iowa, Camille Parker of Peoria, Apreley Randle of Peoria, Twiletta Turner of Peoria, Shondala Sanders of California and Sade Turner of Texas; and his siblings, Willie Brown (Debbie) of Peoria and Bernice Williams of Peoria. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Wright & Salmon Mortuary (2416 North North Street, Peoria, IL 61604). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Preferred memorials in Charlie's memory may be made to the American Lung Association.
