He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Francis and Eunice Kennedy (Tefft); and his siblings, Helen Blanchard, Sally Miller and Jay Kennedy.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Robinson; his children, Gregory Kennedy (Jody) of Des Moines, IA., Brian Kennedy (Deb) of Peoria and Colleen Hamilton (Troy) of Peoria; his grandchildren, Brad, Brandy, Matt, Brenton, Ryan, Maria and Heather; and his sisters, Lois Robyt (late John), Janice Craig (John) and Connie Tilman (Glen). He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
