He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eldrick F. Smith and Virginia Smith (Gallagher); his wife Mary Charlene "Char" Bowers; his children, Lori Jones (Rob) of Peoria, Molly Burns (Ron) of Brimfield, Dan Smith, Jr. (Angie) of Peoria and Ed Smith (Trish) of Kewanee, IL; his grandchildren, Katie, Alex Jones, Charlie, Jonathan, Dan, Sarah Smith, Ronnie, Mary, Jimmy Burns, Ryan and Landon Smith; and his siblings, Mary Margaret Murphy of Rushville, IL, Eldrick, Tom, Larry and Dave. He was also cherished by 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
