With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dion L. Irby (Peoria, Illinois), who passed away on September 9, 2025 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Dion departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Dion may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Dion leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his mother Birda Irby (Tramell); and his grandparents, Roxie, Earnest Trammell, Georgia Irby (Richardson) and John Irby Sr..
He is survived by: his siblings, Otis Irby Jr., Tesa Irby, Lisa Irby and Myles Irby. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, nephew, nieces, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sovereign Grace Missionary Baptist Church (1505 W Martin St, Peoria, IL 61605).
