It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Heidi E. Shanahan (Peoria, Illinois), who passed away on March 3, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Heidi departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Heidi may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Heidi leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gottfried Uecker and Hildegard Uecker (Porath). She is survived by: her children, Mark Shanahan (Deborah), Christine Gresham (Jon Allred) and Erin Shanahan (Judy); and her brother Rudiger Uecker (Anita). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren.
