He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Hugh Banks; his wife Nancy Piper; his children, Hugh Andrew Piper (Susan) and Heidi Piper; his grandchildren, Giacomo Morini, Julia Morini, Liam Piper, Skyler Anderson (Lisa), Kayden Anderson, Chase Anderson (Karissa), A. J. Grainger and Lucas Anderson; his great grandchild Nora Anderson; and his sister Mary Piper.
