Irene Carey Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Carey of Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on July 3, 2022 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Clayton and Isabel Clayton (Isley); her siblings, Marge Hyde, Mary Solls, Esther Delzell, Harold, Jim, Gene, Bill, Chuck, Bradley, Ernie and Jack; and her nieces, Susie Starcevich and Lisa Daub.
She is survived by: her former husband Orval Carey Jr.; her close friend Bob Stieghorst; her daughter Susie Long (John) of Peoria; her granddaughters, Natalie Wilson (Travis) and Melanie DiGiacomo (Joe); her great grandchildren, Tommy of Downers Grove, Elle of Downers Grove, Olivia Wilson of Downers Grove and Jax DiGiacomo of Downers Grove; and her sister Ruthie Starcevich of Pekin.
