He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Wilbert Snyder and Margaret Snyder (Hannon); his wife Adeline C. Walega; his sons, Dr. James Jr. and John; and his grandsons, Jeremy and Jacob.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel (Cindy), Thomas, Robert (Lois) and Mary Clare Geraghty (James); and his daughters-in-law, Janet Snyder, Suzanne Snyder and Linda Snyder. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers preferred memorials in James's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
