He was predeceased by: his parents, Sumner Dockery and Estella Dockery (Franklin). He is survived by: his children, James "Eric" Dockery Jr. (Kristy) of Charlestown, Tywon Dockery of Peoria, Trenetra Goodman of Peoria and Jacqueline Dockery of Peoria; his brother Willie Dockery (Louise) of Grenada, MS; and his niece Brenda Milburn. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
