He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. Oatman and Stella Oatman Sr. (Pollitt); his sister Cinda Hodgkins; and his nephew James Cannon. He is survived by: his children, Billy Oatman (Jen Ford) of Champaign and Jessica (Phillip Russell) of Canton; his grandchildren, Tyler Oatman, Ollie Williamson, Shelby Williamson and Finley Oatman; his siblings, Linda Schmidt (Roy) of Lewistown, Sandy Burget (Stanley) of Lewistown, Kathy Smith (Terry) of Dunfermline, Marica Groff (Bob) of Canton, Mary Carmer of Urbana and Curtis Oatman (Raemarie) of Fredericktown, Ohio; and his brother-in-law Ed Hodgkins (Donna McAllister) of Pekin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Tunnels to Towers, in honor of Jimmy, as he always said the injured military personnel should have been taken care of by the Government for their service.
