He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Darnell and Eleanor Darnell. He is survived by: his wife Julie Darnell; his daughter Jenna Walters (Greg); his grandchildren, Haley of Peoria Heights, Greyson of Peoria Heights and Lydia of Peoria Heights; his son James Semmelroth Darnell (Leah Bussell); his grandchildren, Mark and Jade of Roxbury, Vermont; and his nephew Richard Zinser (Myra Murrill) of Austin, Texas..
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
In honor of that special relationship and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jo Ann Landis Semelroth Nursing Scholarship at Methodist College, 7600 N. Academic Drive, Peoria.
