It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James R. Goldsby of Peoria, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on May 10, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Scott Goldsby and Evelyn Boehnke; his wife Rita A. Sommer; and his daughter Michelle Goldsby. He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Roy (Michael) of Peoria, Lori Donlan (Bill) of Peoria, Angela Karis of East Peoria and Brian Goldsby of Peoria. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preferred memorials in James's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
