It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James M. Rodewald of Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As James departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Rodewald and Velma Rodewald (Stringer); his wife Denise K. Mason; and his sister Scheryl Grell. He is survived by: his son James T. Rodewald; and his grandchildren, Brandon Rodewald, David Rodewald, Matthew Rodewald and Shannon Poole.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Swan Lake Memory Gardens (4601 US-150, Edwards, IL 61528).
