She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Ballard and Helen Ballard (Warren); and her husband Lawrence Paul Smith. She is survived by: her children, Randy Smith (Laurie) of Washington, Stephen Smith (Kim) of Peoria, Richard Smith (Jane) of East Peoria and Laura Holmes (Mike) of Peoria; her grandchildren, MacKinzee Redington (Casey), Kacie Smith, Richard Smith, Jr., Jessica Blank (Jack), Adam Smith (Cayla) and Amanda Slate; her sister Gerri Dalton; and her son Lyle Dalton Jr. of East Peoria. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Springdale Cemetery (3014 N Prospect Rd, Peoria, IL 61603).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Picket Fence Foundation in Chillicothe.
