With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Leigh Adams of Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on June 3, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Joan Leigh may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Loice Kingston and Gladys Kingston (Jones); her husband Charles Adams; and her brother Newton "John" Kingston. She is survived by: her daughter Lynnette Adams; and her nieces and nephews, Emily Shlichter of San Mateo, Tim Kingston of Foley, Cheri Brooksbank of Peoria and Bob Adams of Hanna City.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Woodland Baptist Church (6915 N Allen Rd, Peoria, IL 61614).
Memorial contributions may be made in Joan's name to Woodland Baptist Church or Grand View Alzheimer's.
