He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John R. Mertes and Minnie Mertes (Pabst).
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Swan Lake Memory Gardens (4601 US-150, Edwards, IL 61528).
