He was predeceased by: his siblings, Teddy Howard Melton, Eugene "Chub" Melton, Charles Melton, Jim Melton, Josephine Pratt and Phyllis Kelly.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Swan Melton; his daughters, Linda Sue Aeschliman (Glen) of Peoria, IL, Cindy Meis (Kevin) of Peoria, IL and Pamela Hursey (Mike) of Hanna City, IL; and his sister Iona Carroll of Springfield, MO.. He is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
