She was predeceased by: her husband James Hancock; and her parents, Lila P. Burgess and Richard N. Burgess. She is survived by: her son Richard "Jake" Hancock; and her siblings, Hilary Duke, Daria Diaz and Rick Burgess. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials in Laurel's memory may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
