He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred D. Poepsel and Anna Marie Poepsel (Hellmann). He is survived by: his wife Sally Kennelly; his children, Kelly Poepsel of Peoria and Richard Poepsel (Shera) of Glasford; his grandchildren, Erin Flynn and Izabelle Brickner; and his sister Margie Housted of Illinois.
