We bid farewell to Linda L. Scheirer of Peoria, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 10, 2025 at the age of 82. Linda touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Storey and Evelyn Storey (Laha); her sister Judy; her brothers-in-law, Dennis Schaffer and Dick Van Scyoc; and her brothers, Nick (Bonnie Scheirer), Dick Scheirer (Mary) and Tom Scheirer (Carol).
She is survived by: her children, Kim Stevens (Tom) of Santa Maria, CA, Kelly Emert (Emert) of Peoria, IL and Kerry Hanley (Tim) of Kickapoo; her grandchildren, Kyle Glen Stevens, Kevin Stevens, Megan Stevens, Tyler, Alex Emert, Joey and Jack Hanley; her great grandchildren, Peyton and Scottie Stevens; and her sisters, Karen Van Scyoc of Peoria, IL and Dianne Smith (Jim) of North Carolina.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (6001 N University St, Peoria, IL 61614). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
