With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Luella M. Shawhan in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on November 26, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Kiesewetter and Catherine S. Kiesewetter (Adams); her husband George "Bob" Shawhan; her daughter Tracy Sabol; her great grandchild River Jordan Guile; and her siblings, Harold Kiesewetter, Frank Kiesewetter, Herb Kiesewetter, Art Kieswetter, Alice Markiewicz, Alvina Jenn and Laurina Gangloff.
She is survived by: her children, Joanie Shawhan of Madison, WI, Tim Shawhan (Rebecca) of Springfield, MO, Michael Shawhan (Linda) of Brimfield, IL, Jean Zbinden (Dan) of Yorkville, IL, Brian Shawhan (Kristin) of Peoria, IL and Kate Qualls (Tim) of Madison, WI; her grandchildren, Luke Shawhan (Meagan), Patrick Shawhan (Courtney), Olivia Solomon (Jonathan), Clint Shawhan (Alexandria), Clay Shawhan (Katie), Ben Zbinden, Laura Zbinden, John Sabol (Angela), Thomas Sabol (Jamie), Amanda Smith (Jake), Brianna Preidt (Martin), Jordyn Guile (Matt) and Tyler Shawhan; her sister Marge Mason (Bob); Isaiah Solomon, Beniah Solomon, Roselyn Shawhan, Caroline Shawhan, Hadassah Shawhan, Hosea Shawhan, Hezekiah Shawhan, Hilkiah Shawhan, Evren Shawhan, Haze Shawhan, Iulian Preidt, Emerson East, Ambrose Sabol and Tracy Smith. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark's Catholic Church or Agrace.
