He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle C. Sears and Anne Sears (Nevitt). He is survived by: his daughters, Jenny Woodall (Jeff) of Normal, Eileen Owen (Dave) of Lincoln and Nicki Haley (Dirk) of Dunlap; his grandchildren, Erica, Ryan, Jessica, Nicholas, Carly, Katie, Jacob, Seth and Payton; and his great grandchildren, Barrett, Mason, Logan, Troy, Heath, Crosby, Hollis, Owen and Theo.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Vincent de Paul Church (6001 N University St, Peoria, IL 61614). A committal service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Swan Lake Memory Gardens (4601 W War Memorial Dr, Peoria, IL 61615).
Memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
