It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marie Hohulin of Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on September 14, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Staub and Emma Staub (Kippel); her sister Helen Knobloch (Jim); and her brothers-in-law, Jim Knobloch, Earl Knobloch and Frank Haring.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Roecker (Tim) of Morton, Beth Van Dusen of Peoria, Gary Hohulin (Lesa) of Washington, Mark Hohulin (Jan) of Morton and Jill Martini (Anthony) of Centennial Colorado; her grandchildren, Aaron Roecker (Kate), Hannah West (Corey), Caleb Roecker (Ashley), Bryce Van Dusen (Heather), Jessica Gentzkow (Jordan), Courtney Van Dusen, Alec Hohulin (Allison), Justine Hohulin, Tate Hohulin (Melissa), Tyler Hohulin, Troy Hohulin, Isabella and Gianna Martini; her sisters, Vera Knobloch (Earl), Betty Haring (Frank) and Nancy Herrmann (Gary); Edith Knobloch. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Peoria Apostolic Christian Church (3420 N Sheridan Rd, Peoria, IL 61604).
In lieu of flowers, all memorials may be made to Apostolic Christian Skylines in Peoria where she was cared for by loving and caring nurses and staff the last days of her life.
