With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maurice Roger Johnson of Peoria, Illinois, born in Mexico, Missouri, who passed away on May 10, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer, Sr. Johnson and Joyce Johnson (Clayborn); his siblings, Allen Johnson, Elmer Johnson, Jr. (Mary) and Nadine Johnson; his nieces and nephews, Elmer "Punchie" Johnson, Gary A. Johnson, Larry A. Johnson, Cheryl A. Johnson and Mary Joyce Johnson-Allen; and his great-niece Shauna Parks.
He is survived by: his niece Yvonne Johnson Langford; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Crystal Roddy (Frank), Erica Pegues, Ava Brown (David), Rasheedah (Joseph) of Washington, Ona Langford, Elmer Johnson, IV (Jenny), Michael Johnson (Beth), Larry Johnson, Jr. and Marvin R. Allen, Jr.; his cousins, Jackie Petty (Eugene) of Peoria, IL, Valerie Timmes (Charles) of Peoria, IL and Carol Kimbrough of Chicago, IL; and his close friends, Alexandria "Lynn" Pearson of Peoria, IL, Tom Hammond of Peoria, IL and Patrick T. Maloney of Peoria, IL.
