Maxwell A. Shea Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maxwell A. Shea (Peoria, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 5, 2025 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Maxwell A. Shea to pay them a last tribute.
Though Maxwell may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Maxwell touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxwell Anderson and Beatrice Anderson (Kumpf); his adoptive father James Shea; and his sister Sharon Murray. He is survived by: his sister Mary Rose Shanks; his sibling's children, Brian Murray (Becky) of Indianapolis, IN and Molly Petruso (Michael) of Indianapolis, IN; and his great-nephew Logan Murray.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (6001 N University St, Peoria, IL 61614). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
