He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Grimm and Dorothy Grimm (Pritchard); and his children, Lindsey Lee and Kurt Andrew (Elizabeth "Bette" Grimm). He is survived by: his wife Bette; his children, Dana Lee Sterbens (Bill) and Eric Jon (Michele); his grandchildren, Megan Casey (Joshua), Edward, Oliver and Elijah; and his former wife Judith Grimm. He is also survived by children and their spouses, ten bonus grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Federated Church.
