She was predeceased by: her parents, Othell McKenzie (Lilly McDonald) and James Watkins; her brother Thurlee McDonald; her children, Velma Lee McDonald and Tony Eugene Watkins; her grandchildren, Canosha Butler and Gregory Harris; her great grandchildren, Kensey Ross Jr. and Youlandice Simmons; and also Daryl Miller, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, James Watkins Jr., Annette McDonald, Jaton Watkins and Regina Miller (Anthony); her granddaughters, Melissa Sashington (James) and Tanica McDonald; her great grandchild Amin Wires; and her son-in-law Michael Welch. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cumerford-Clary Funeral Home Chapel (428 W McClure Ave, Peoria, IL 61604). A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
