He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Patti Lavin; his children, Nate Simmons (Tina) of Peoria, AZ, Kate Smith (Chad) of Charleston, SC and Sarah Simmons of Charleston, SC; his siblings, Mike Simmons (Bella) of Peoria, Doug Simmons (Lori) of Peoria and Kathy Simmons of San Francisco, CA; his grandchildren, Jack and Nora; and his parents, Jack Maggio and Patricia Maggio (Murphy).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the newly created Randy Simmons PND Tuition Assistance Fund.
