He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Mitchell and Helen Mitchell (Bradley); and his former wife Pegi Mitchell (Castro). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Kimble. He is also survived by his four daughters, and one son.
When he wasn't working or spending time with family, he made significant contributions to his community through service as Chairman of the East Bluff TIF District Board, serving as Commander of AMVETS Post #64, and acting as President of the East Bluff Neighborhood Association. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
