It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roberta Kirksey of Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on May 31, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hogan and Delilah Hogan (Pickens); her husband Jeremiah Kirksey; her granddaughter Summer Haynes; and her siblings, J. L., Mildred, Maggie, Beatrice, Warren, Annie, Calvin, Geneva and Jerry.
She is survived by: her son Bobby Gene Haynes (Valeria); her grandchildren, Ashley and Tasharie Haynes; her brother Preston Hogan; her family, Stephanie Wyatt, Jan McFadden (Artie) and Shawn Tucker (Logan); her niece Vanessa Osbourne (Keith); and her nephew Herbert Hogan.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Peoria Friendship M. B. Church (3828 N New York Ave, Peoria, IL 61614). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
