He is survived by: his wife Betsy; his children, Richard Janssen (Cindy) and Susan Welty (Scott); his grandchildren, Jennifer Volpe (Cody), Nicole Beard (Easton) and Joshua Janssen; and his great grandchild Wrenley Beard.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Ron's name to Disabled American Veterans.
