He was predeceased by: his wife Joanne Blundell Kern; and his parents, Merrel Kern and Rickie Neptun Kern. He is survived by: his brother Wayne Kern; and his children, Andrew Kern, Richard Kern and Laurie Shaltiel (Dan). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
