She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Strickler and Nola Strickler (Finney). She is survived by: her children, Jill Portillo (Cristian) of Peoria, IL, Joshua Hovey (Maggie) of Lacon, IL and Julia Dexter (Adam) of Princeville, IL.; her grandchildren, Hadassah Portillo, Emmanuel Portillo, Emily White, Gunner Hovey, Eden Hovey, Eldon Hovey, Ada Dexter and Dean Dexter; and her siblings, Robert Strickler Jr. (Rita) of Minnesota, Cynthia Strickler of Oregon, Karen Gilmore of Illinois, Deborah Pirtle (Kyle) of Washington, Richard Strickler (Jeannine) of Georgia and Angela Strickler of Illinois. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the church she called home: Centro de Restauración.
