She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Kirk and Elizabeth Kirk (Kerker); and her siblings, Bernie Kirk and Marvel Kumpf. She is survived by: her husband Richard L. Gauwitz; and her children, Sheila "Ginger" Mattox (David) of Phoeniz, AZ, Daniel J. Gauwitz (Polly) of Greenview, IL and Thomas P. Gauwitz (Teri) of Roanoke, IL. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
