Walter Joseph Laylock Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Joseph Laylock of Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on May 23, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Laylock and Betty Laylock; his sister Joy (Mike McFarden); and his father-in-law Ray Marvel. He is survived by: his daughters, Cassie (Trace McIntosh) and Nichole (Ryne Komnick); his grandchildren, Zoe, Aidan, Ryne, Cruze, Abraham and Raelee; his great grandchild Cayden; his siblings, Pat Starrett and Rick (Kathy Laylock); and his mother-in-law Darlene Marvel. He is also survived by several nieces, one nephew.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church (2020 West Malone Street, Peoria, IL 61605).
