We announce the death of Judy A. Carlson of Peotone, Illinois, who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 71. Judy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Judy will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Judy will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Judy’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Paprocki and Annette Lestinsky Paprocki; her husband Jeffrey R. Carlson; and her sister Kathleen Ratkovich. She is survived by: her son Eric Carlson (Melissa) of Chicago; her siblings, Caroline Trauscht (Wally), Annette Dobrzeniecki, Tom Paprocki (Linda) and Bill Paprocki (Mary); and her brother-in-law Rick Ratkovich. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Peotone American Legion (109 E North St, Peotone, IL 60468).
