With sadness, we share the passing of Gene Liehr of Perry, Illinois. Gene, born on May 21, 1935, passed away on August 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Liehr and Helen Walker Liehr; his brothers, Donald Liehr and Roger Liehr; and his son-in-law Terry Behymer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie Orton (Jim) of Macomb, Tammy Behymer of Mt. Sterling and Gretchen Curtis (Mark) of Laddonia, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Bradley Behymer, Stephanie Dittmer, Ashley Arens, Paige Miles, Kyle Curtis and Alissa Curtis; and his brother Richard Liehr (Barb) of Perry.
Memorials are suggested to the Perry United Methodist Church or the Brown County FFA and may be left at or mailed to the Hendricker Funeral Home, 406 South Capitol Avenue, Mt. Sterling, Illinois 62353.
