We announce the death of David Sale of Peru, Illinois, who passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 72. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. David will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew David will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. David’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth John and Joan Sale Sr. (Howard); and his siblings, Michael Sale and Debra Sale. He is survived by: his siblings, James Sale (Georgia) of Utica, Ken Sale Jr. (Crystal) of Butler, IN, Crystal Ann Sale (Larry Hinde) of Piqua, OH, Dawn Sale of Fort Wayne, IN and Frances Sale of Garrett, IN; and his stepmother Betty Sale of Garrett, IN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Hurst Funeral Home (650 5th St, La Salle, IL 61301). A memorial service was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
