He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Nowakowski and Mary Nowakowski (Grygiel); his son Christopher; and his brother Robert "Slats" Nowakowski. He is survived by: his wife Janice Szczepaniak of Peru; his son Mark Nowakowski (Julie) of Peru; his grandchildren, Matt, Kevin of Alexis, CJ, Taylor and Mikey; and his pet Max. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
