He was predeceased by : his father Randy Bernabei. He is survived by : his mother Karen Bernabei (Dale) of Dalzell; his wife Amanda Kurtz (Punta Cana); his stepson Landon Gisler of Peru; his sisters, Stacey Ernat (Don) of Peru, Jamie Madden (Damien) of Spring Valley and Talia Ammons of Dalzell; his parents-in-law, Rick and Donna Kurtz of Peru; his sister-in-law Jennifer Kurtz (Jeff Bassett); his stepbrother T. J. Fulara of Dalzell; his stepmother Bonnie Bernabei of Dalzell; his nieces and nephews, Michelle Simmons (Austin), Gage Andreoni, Brantley Ernat, Amethyst Ernat, Payton, Chance Johnson, Addison Ernat, Kendal Bassett and Bentlea Ernat; his goddaughters, Lane Bassett and Emmie McNutt; and his pets, Scarlett, Ruby, Storm, Chilla and Binx. He is also survived by his parents, siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins on both sides of his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to establish a scholarship for Landon and Cops 4 Cancer.
