He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burkart and Helen Burkart (Pitstick); his wife Karen; his son Gregory; his siblings, Norbert (Betty), Leroy Burkart, Cecelia McCormick and Rose Marie Burkart; and his siblings-in-law, Teresa Burkart and Leo Gillian.
He is survived by: his sons, Brad Burkart (Mary Beth) of Peru and Randy Burkart (Brenda) of Peru; his grandchildren, Andrea, Amanda, Britney Burkart and Brett Burkart (Amber); his great grandchildren, Addison Jaegle and Cooper Burkart; his brother Eugene Burkart; his siblings-in-law, Elsie Burkart and Gerald McCormick; and his pet Lulu. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church (1925 5th St, Peru, IL 61354). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue (IVAR) in memory of Ralph Anthony Burkart.
