With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald H. Burkart of Peru, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 21, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Ronald leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his father Leroy H. Burkart; and his brothers, Wayne E. and Steven M. Burkart. He is survived by: his mother Elsie Burkart (Bosshart) of Peru; and his siblings, Gerald Burkart of Ottawa, Bill Burkart of Peru, Leroy T. Burkart (Deidre) of Peru, Regina Gualandi (Tom) of Utica and Laura Burkart of Sugar Grove. He is also survived by many nieces, great nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:50 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (1925 5th St, Peru, IL 61354). A Mass was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
