Thomas Joseph Derix Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Joseph Derix of Peru, Illinois, who passed away on September 30, 2025 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J Derix and Beverly Mae Derix (Lucas); and his brother Jack. He is survived by: his siblings, Beverly Derix of Peru, Patrice Swiskoski of LaSalle, Edward M. Derix (Debbie) of Spring Valley, Lana Vowels (Daniel) of LaSalle and Donald Derix (Phyllis) of Glen Ellyn. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mueller Funeral Home - Peru (909 Pike St, Peru, IL 61354). A prayer will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Church (1925 5th St, Peru, IL 61354). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Peru City Cemetery (2121 Shooting Park Rd, Peru, IL 61354).
