He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy (Ellma Kinney) and Bob; and his siblings, Glen Brubaker, Glenna Doyle Kinney, Ernie Kinney, Edie Bell Kinney, Junior Kinney and Emma Reimer Kinney.

He is survived by: his wife Edna Kinney (Carpenter); his children, Keith Kinney (Michelle), Brad Kinney (Amy Green) and Kristy Kinney Metz (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Kolbe Kinney, Brady Kinney, Lucas Kinney, Marissa Metz and Andrew Metz; and his siblings, William "Bill" Kinney of Petersburg and Katie Ex of Chicago. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
