He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence and Alice; and his brothers, Clarence Tomlin Jr., Fred Tomlin and Roger Tomlin.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Blair; his children, David Tomlin (Betty Miller), Rebecca Howard and Matthew Tomlin (Susan); his stepdaughter Barbara Weist (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Alex Tomlin, Emmet Howard, Jacob Tomlin, Reese Tomlin, Piper Weist and Finn Weist; and his brother Norman Tomlin.
