We are sad to announce that on September 3, 2023, at the age of 69, Charles Arthur Hume of Pierron, Illinois, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Hume and Ruby E. Hume Thompson (Carman); his daughters, Sarah Moneda Brotherton (Hume) and Sandra Jean Hume; and his siblings, James E. Hume, Dennis W. Thompson and Helen E. Austin.
He is survived by: his wife Georgia Jean Riley; his daughters, Jennifer Lynn Hume (Richard Kloepper) of Lebanon, IL, Mary Grace Hume (Francis R. Meyers Jr.) of Pierron, Julie Marie Dettloff (Steven Freeman) of Powhatan, VA and Belinda Charlene Hume of Moseley, VA; and his sisters, Elaine R. Thomure (Gary) of Pinkneyville, IL and Kathy K. Thompson of Dupo, IL. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
