Dixie Atteberry Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dixie Atteberry of Pinckneyville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Swallers and Grace Swallers (Randall); and her siblings, Jeannie Winkley, Addie Medina and Leroy "Roy" Swallers.
She is survived by: her husband Terry Atteberry of Pinckneyville, IL; her children, Brian Bender (Debra) of Pinckneyville, IL and Brenda Bender (Aron Costantino) of Carbondale, IL; her stepson Joel Atteberry of Hood River, OR; and her grandchildren, Emily, Erin, Bradley and Madison.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church (213 W Randolph St, Pinckneyville, IL 62274). A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
