We bid farewell to Janet Lucille Erwin of Pinckneyville, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 10, 2025 at the age of 87. Janet touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vallie D. West and Grace L. West; her spouses, Kenneth Erwin, Blouwn D. Weeks and Charles McKinney; her daughter Beth Fisher; her siblings, Vallie D. West Jr. and Norma J. McCurdy (James E. "Jim"); and her son-in-law Dick Thimmig.
She is survived by: her caregiver Nathan Fisher; her grandson Wes Fisher (Katelyn); her children, Dianna Thimmig, Susan Brown (Rob), Ron Weeks (Susie) and Tim McKinney (Tracy); her brother-in-law Dan Erwin (Susie); her grandchildren, Laura Thimmig, Marci Thimmig, Samantha Voigt (John), Alecia Robinson (Chris), Melody Stuehlmeyer (Jason), Trenton McKinney, Jordan McKinney and Nikki Teel (Doug); and her nephew Logan Wildermuth. She is also survived by twenty four great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pyatt Funeral Home - Pinckneyville (309 S Main St, Pinckneyville, IL 62274). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lymphoma Research Foundation (https://lymphoma.org.) or the Caregiver Action Network (https://caregiveraction.org.) honoring her memory would be appreciated.
