She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Pope and Ruby Pope (Barr); her husband Clayton; and her son-in-law Donald Shanklin. She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth E. Shanklin of Pinckneyville, IL, Rusty Emling (Kathi) of Chanute, KS and Richard Emling (Tanya) of Pinckneyville, IL; her grandchildren, Kala Baxter (Seth), Shelbi Holmes (Blake), Peyton Emling (Blaise), Syndi Dietsch (Cameron), Emily Shanklin, Sophi Emling and Kedric Emling; her stepgrandchildren, Hayden Carter (Madison) and Chris Galbraith; her great grandchildren, Izabel, Drake, Jett, Ivy, Kasen and Clara; and her caregivers, Maria, Shelly, Amanda, Romona, Dixie and Savannah.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Holts Prairie Baptist Church (5622 IL-154, Pinckneyville, IL 62274). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
